Safety

The IM5 rests on an intelligent digital chassis that unifies steering, adaptive air suspension, and braking. Standard Four-Wheel Steering shrinks its turning circle to less than 10 metres, making it as nimble as a city car. Its IM Advanced Driver Assist (ADAS) suite incorporates Rainy Night Mode, which cuts out rain glare on screen to clearly replicate your immediate surroundings including pedestrians and hidden obstacles in real time. At the press of a button, automated systems take the stress out of tight maneuvers, introducing automated One-Touch Parking, Kerbside Parking, Pull Out, and Reverse.

Powertrain 

Built on an advanced, ultra-modern 800V architecture, the MG IM5 is powered by the revolutionary 'Hurricane Motor' electric system. For long-distance driving, the Long Range single-motor variant utilises a high-capacity 100kWh NCM battery pack to achieve a massive combined WLTP range of up to 441 miles. It sets a benchmark at the charging station, supporting high-power DC rapid charging that replenishes the battery from 10% to 80% in just 17 minutes—shattering traditional charging barriers.
